K-W Rangers outlast Southwest Wildcats 4-2
The K-W Rangers PWHL Team played to a 4-2 victory over the Southwest Wildcats this afternoon.
The Rangers gained the winning advantage on an unassisted power-play goal by Lindsay Dales 5:25 into the third period and sealed the win with a power-play goal by Loren Gabel at 7:32 (assists to Mary Worndl and Amber Sealey) to complete the victory.
Southwest’s power play was ineffective against the Ranger's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. Offensively the Rangers rang up 36 shots on Southwest's net. In addition, Jade Gauthier and Emma Leger scored for the Rangers. Further assists came from Dollee Meigs on Gauthier’s goal.
Stephanie Sluys recorded 16 saves for the Rangers.
